In Genesis, the Hebrew word for work — abad — is the very same word used for worship. That's not a coincidence. God's original design united the two: humanity was assigned to cultivate and guard the beauty of His creation while walking alongside Him. Work and worship were inseparable from the beginning.

Then came the Fall. Genesis 3 turns cultivation into toil — the kind of grinding labor "no HR policy or benefits plan can fix." It's no surprise that six in ten Gen Z workers now call their job a “situationship” — a widespread, quiet disconnection from meaningful labor.

Jesus restores what the Fall broke. Through Him, even the most mundane task can become worship again — an altar where His presence shows up, right in the middle of an ordinary Monday.
